Recipe: Tuna Steak with Sautéed Sweet Potatoes and Spinach

Tuna is an excellent source of high biological value protein and omega-3 fatty acids, essential for muscle recovery and cardiovascular health. Combined with sweet potato, rich in complex carbohydrates, and spinach, loaded with micronutrients, this dish is ideal for those looking for a balanced and nutritious meal.

Tuna with sweet potato

Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 1 tuna steak (150g)
  • 1 medium sweet potato (150g)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 clove of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon oregano

Preparation Method

  1. Prepare the sweet potato:
    • Peel and cut the sweet potato into slices or cubes.
    • Steam or boil for about 10-15 minutes until tender.
  2. Grilling the tuna steak:
    • Season the tuna steak with lemon juice, salt, pepper, paprika and oregano.
    • Heat a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil and grill the tuna for about 2 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.
  3. Sauté the spinach:
    • In a frying pan, heat a little olive oil and add the chopped garlic.
    • Add the spinach and sauté for 2 minutes until slightly wilted.
  4. Serve:
    • Place the tuna steak on the plate, add the cooked sweet potato and sautéed spinach.
    • Drizzle with a little more lemon juice if desired.
