It’s one of the sunniest places in the world, with 2,700 hours of sunlight per year. Known for its crystal-clear beaches, picturesque old town and mild, inviting Mediterranean climate, Split is one of Croatia’s most popular cities — and now it’s much easier to fly there.
The destination that gained even more popularity after serving as inspiration for some scenes from “Game of Thrones”, is one of the new additions to easyJet’s routes. The airline continues to expand its operations in Portugal and, from June 23, will start flying to the Croatian city.
easyJet announced this Thursday, January 23, that it will start offering flights between Porto and Split, twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. “This new destination is ideal for travelers looking to explore the stunning landscapes of one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations, rich in history and with paradisiacal beaches”, says the company.
Tickets for the Croatian city are now available online . Prices start at €42.
Another new feature is the route between Funchal and Nantes, in France, which will be available from March 30th. During the months of July and August, the connection will have two flights per week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. In the remaining months, the frequency will be three flights per week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays.
One-way flights to Nantes, renowned for its historic charm, vibrant culture and proximity to the famous Loire Valley, start at €75.
For summer 2025, easyJet has already announced several new routes connecting Portuguese airports to attractive destinations. From Lisbon, for example, it will be able to fly directly to Palermo, Tirana and Milan.
In total, there are more than seven million seats to and from Portugal available next summer, consolidating the airline’s commitment to the Portuguese market. “These new routes reinforce our commitment to offering more travel options and connectivity to our passengers, contributing to the promotion of Portugal as a strategic hub in Europe”, highlights José Lopes, general director of easyJet Portugal.
