In this section, we answer some of the most frequently asked questions about the Apple Watch app and how to troubleshoot issues related to its use.
1. Why can't I see the Apple Watch app on my watch?
To ensure you have access to Apple Watch integration, follow these steps:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app (7.0 or higher). The Apple Watch app is included in the iOS app and will automatically install on your watch. Note that custom-branded apps may take a few days to update.
- Make sure that the automatic installation option is enabled in the iOS Watch app. You can see Apple's instructions here .
2. How do I update my Apple Watch to the latest operating system?
You can find Apple's instructions for updating your Apple Watch's operating system on the Apple Support website .
3. Does the Apple Watch app count towards my Activity Rings?
Yes, when you use the app to track your workouts, your information will sync with Apple’s Activity and Health apps. This information is recorded and contributes to the Move, Workout, and Stand rings on your Apple Watch. For more details on Activity rings, follow Apple’s instructions here .
4. Why aren't my steps, sleep and other information syncing with the app?
If you're having syncing issues, you may need to reset Apple HealthKit permissions. These permissions allow information from your Apple Watch to sync with the app.
We recognize the importance of seamlessly integrating your Apple Health/Watch data with the ABC Trainerize platform to effectively track your fitness progress. If you’re having trouble with this integration, don’t worry, we’re here to help. We’ve compiled a list of common troubleshooting steps below to help you resolve any issues you may encounter:
Ensure Proper Permissions:
- Check Apple Health Permissions : Make sure the ABC Trainerize app has permission to read and write Apple Health data. To check this, go to Settings on your iPhone > Privacy > Health > ABC Trainerize and make sure all the toggles are turned on.
Check Data Synchronization:
- Refresh Data : Sometimes syncing issues can be resolved by simply refreshing your data. Open the ABC Trainerize app, go to the Apple Health tab in the More Settings (...) menu > Connect > Apple Health , and manually sync your data by pressing the "Sync Now" button, if available.
Apple HealthKit Troubleshooting Instructions:
1. Make sure the Apple Health/Watch app is up to date: It's important to have the latest version of the Apple Health/Watch app installed on your device. Check the App Store for available updates and install them if necessary.2. Disconnect the integration by first turning off all Apple Health permissions for ABC Trainerize. To do this, use the search function in iOS to find Health > Tap your profile icon in the top right corner > Under Privacy, tap Apps & Services > Select our app > Tap Disable All.
3. Next, delete and reinstall both the ABC Trainerize and Apple Health apps. After uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, follow the next step to reconnect the integration between them.
4. Go back to the More section in the bottom right corner of the mobile app, scroll down to Apple Health, and then tap Connect.
5. Tap "Enable All Categories" and then click "Allow" in the top right corner.
6. You will then be redirected to the connection page and receive a confirmation that the integration was successful and that the data from the last week is being synchronized.
Apple Health and iPads
Apple HealthKit and Apple Watch integration is not available in the Home Workout ® App for iPads. This integration is only available on Apple iPhone devices.
